Kynan's Arrow of Light

All Scout Blue & Gold Banquet. The cub scouts were to make and decorate a cake for the evening. Kyamnan wanted the yummy lemonade cake in the shape of a pitcher and lemon. Brycen wanted a bowling cake with bowling pin candles.

I wish I would've taken pictures of what he wanted it to look like. The original was to heavy and falling apart. He really wanted it to look like a lemonade pitcher so.... when he was at school I kindof helped him come up with this. 

It looks so real and yummy!

 Everyone loved it!

After searching 5 stores for bowling pin candles and having no luck.

I found this little pool table set at the $1 store so he had to have a pool table cake.

when they got home they were both surprised at their cakes.

I like how simple & cute it was decorated.

Taco salads! Yummy, filling, and I didnt have to cook or clean.

I have no Idea what he was doing but it made me laugh to see his face.

Brycen earned his

collecting belt loop. He had to collect leaves.

Kynan got his scout book and crossed over the bridge of cub scouts to boy scouts.

the arrow of light patch is the only one that can be worn on the scout uniform. 

It is the highest rank that a cub scout can earn.

I love the fact that Kynan loves scouts and he is determined to do everything he can in the scouting program. Kynan told me afterwards that when he was given his arrow of light that he was trying not to cry because he knew that Brother Carpenter didn't do this for anyone. He felt the spirit of kindness just then.

I was givens the 100 years in the LDS church patch for being a fully trained leader. These other 4 are amazing leaders. I am glad that I have the change to work with them.
