W05 Reflection: Entrepreneurial Journal

 A Hero's Journey

I love this quote, "I believe that you have a very special mission on this earth. A mission that will succeed beyond your wildest dreams, but only if you have the faith and courage to find that entrepreneurial calling." I know who I am and that I can become anything that I want to be if I will first trust in myself and find what my gifts are while I am here. I have been given a clue into what some of my gifts are that is to influence others for good. As I learn what a good influencer is and how I need to fulfill that role I am learning that it is something I was given but I need to take to steps to understand it and apply it into my everyday life. It is not easy, I am 45 years old and have lived half of my life but in that 45 years I have overcome more than most people have, I have ben given a second chance at life at the age of 12. I have seen God's hand in my life as He has placed hard, life threating trials upon my when most kids were trying to understand what a growing pain felt like, I was relying on knowledgeable Doctors and nurses to find what was wrong with my body. I was relying on my parents faith to build mine. I was trying to understand my mission on earth and if I was going to live to be a grown up at all. I, of course have learned so many valuable lessons that I was supposed to learn as I grow and tried to understand my body and what it takes to nourish it and maintain good health. I consider now how blessed I am to be at this point of my life. Now able to get a college education and learn how to become a successful individual in this world.

"So what does it mean to choose a hero’s journey? It means to live every moment of your life like it matters, because it does. It means to live as if you have an important mission, because you do. What matters most isn’t the prize at the end, but how the hero has changed in the process." I am understanding that this is what life is all about. It is taking the gifts that we were given in Heaven and using them to bless others lives. I know I am not going to change the world but I am going to make changes to my world around me. I am not going to be famous, I am going to show others how important they are to our Heavenly Parents. I am not going to be an inventor, musician, scientist, or astronaut, but I am going to be a daughter of God, and teach my children and His children how to love and be loved, how to love the world He created for us, how to cook good food for our bodies, how to tie your shoes, do homework, care for your needs everyday of your life, be there to cheer you on in a sport I know nothing about, fix broken bones, care for sick bodies, and hug the sadness's away for the time. I will teach cooking classes, sewing classes, painting, crafting, teach preschool for a season, and attempt new jobs to learn all I need to while I am there. I will face fears, overcome disappointments, and be strong for a time to find what I will need to learn.

In this life and the talk "A Hero's Journey" there are these things that we need to have in our lives.  

It is important to understand these three promises. 

Learn how to learn

Learn how to make money 

Learn how to live a life of meaning

I love that learning how to learn is the first promise. That's all we have to take with us. Learning how to learn is important above all other things here on this earth. Learning is as simple as reading and as hard as developing a new skill. Learning is as important as breathing. Learning how to make money isn't my strength. It is something I struggle with. I have wanted to learn this and have so many opportunities to do this. This step/promise will be a life long goal of mine to make money that is sufficient for my needs. Learn how to live a life of meaning. I was blessed to have trials at a young age. Learning a life a meaning was a blessing I was given to understand this. This life is an opportunity to prepare to meet God and to help others along the way. I am not perfect at it but I try to help myself and other see the meaning of their lives and teach them to find meaning in it. Each day is a gift and tomorrow will always come. Its our choice to chose what kind of day we will have and discover.
