Moving Forward With A Driving Passion

The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R Covey are great actions that one should take in a business endeavor. I think understanding each one will help one to become a better person in self and business.
Habits-
  1. Be Proactive- the ability to choose our own response
  2. Begin with the End in Mind- Visualize what the outcome will become - Mission Statement
  3. Put First Things First- Important to not urgent
  4. Think Win/Win- "A frame of mind and heart constantly seeking mutual benefit in business and personal transactions. All parties feel good about decisions and commit to the plan."
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then To Be Understood- This is one I need to work on. Have courage to ask and then understand what others are saying to me and what I am saying to them.
  6. Synergize- "is the true test and manifestation of all the other habits combined."
  7. Sharpen the Saw- Remember there are other things that need to be done too in order to be successful. Body, Mind, and Spirit.

Daily Victories

to learn, commit, and do will help me to move towards my goal as a business owner, wife, mother, and employee (someday). I like what Gandhi said, "They cannot take away our self respect if we do not give it to them."

Stand True and Faithful

President Gordon B Hinckley, April 1996,  General Conference talked about how we as young woman need to get all the schooling we can because it will be a great blessing in our lives, but our first objective is to get married, sealed in the temple and have a family. "Education can better equip you for the realization of those ideas." Our education will help us move forward in the changing world we are facing. I remember learning that our education will be a benefit to ourselves and our families. The more we have in this life the better we will be. Being true to ourselves is to get all the education we can. I know that in my life I wish I would be able to go back and help Josh get his education earlier in our marriage. It would've been a better way of living in our lives as I have dealt with health problems and children rearing and raising. I know that he has tried to establish a career without one but we wouldn't have struggle as much financially if we would have just endured early to get his education finished.

Passion Vs. Money

Some of our passions will turn into money but others will not. We need to follow our passions and try everything we can work hard so our passions will work for us. I think that having a drive towards something good in life is a worthy goal to have. Sometimes it may not be easy or we may not understand everything about it but we need to continue down a road of learning and understanding so that we can become better each day at what fuels us and our passions.
